A Chinese porcelain jar of ovoid shape decorate in underglaze blue with a scene of two females standing infront of a fence, the one holding a rabbit, the other with a leaf spray in the hand, the other side with two female figures, the one watering flowers in a square pot, the other looking with a fan held in the arms, the two scenes divided by a banana tree and punus issuing from rockwork, later Dutch silver mount to the shoulder and silver cover with flower finial, marked 'C.E.J.', probably for Delft silversmith C.E. Jedeloo (active 1857-1870/1). Artemisia leaf to the base. An identical jar with porcelain cover is in the Royal Porcelain Collection Dresden. See: "Covered jarlet. Inv. no. PO 2501."
