Amsterdam wooden coin weight box 1654 by unknown maker 'HP' (ca. 1645-1660), 154x86x34 mm, on the top and sides decorated with engraved frames with floral motifs, brass fittings (the hooks of the closure are missing); in the bottom compartments for a balance, 13 for coin weights and one for grain weights (with sliding lid), in the right side a drawer 138x60x0.6 mm with compartments for another 18 coin weights - In the bottom two marks 'circle with bird and HP in ligature' are burned in; in ink 'Anno 1654' and Dutch captions above each compartment - With a coin balance with less beautiful iron arm and tinned brass scales, the triangular scale on the bottom stamped with the mark of Jacob Soomer, balance maker in Hoorn ('horn under I-S') - In the grain compartment a brass weight of 4 aces - In the bottom and drawer comparments 32 brass coin weights from various makers from the first half of the 17th century: Lenaart van de Gheere IV (ca. 1600-1621, Pol bn, 10x including 'goud leeu' and 'Moors ducat') - Isaac Abrahamsen 1645 (Pol ei, 12x) - Gerrit Geens 1612, 1617, 1619 (Pol ca, 3x) and ?1607 (WK&H 324, 1x) - Isaac Deelen (Rotterdam, Pol da, 1x) - Gerrit Matthijsz.
