French light cavalry sabre Model 1822. The blade is stamped with the mark of S. Wiedman and an unidentified stamp, probably the mark of F. A. Bisch. The blade also carries the number 15. The spine is marked 'Manufre Rale de Châtellerault Juillet 1833'. Various markings on the guard; a W (S. Wiedman), a B (F. A. Bisch) and a number 13. Both the sabre and scabbard carry the number 1002. Total length: 116 cm.
