Mieke Selleslagh (1954), a blue coloured Raku glazed vase with cover, signed to the underside and dated 1997 -H. 18 cm- _x000D_ Mieke Sellleslagh is one of the most successful contemporary Belgian ceramists with numerous exhibitions in Belgium, Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, India, Australia etc. She creates incredibly finely potted pieces with a traditional Japanese Raku glaze that result in her ceramics having a pure, almost meditative aesthetic.
