An attractive and solid replica of an Athenian Tetradrachm IN PURE GOLD (24 ct.), after the original types ca. 454-404 BC: Helmeted head of Athena right with frontal eye / Owl standing to right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent behind, within incuse square (Kroll 8 / HGC 4, 1597), weight 25.11 g. – XF with a minor test cut, a lovely, warm and valuable art-like imitation of one of the most desirable coins of the Hellenistic ancient world, made in the same fine style as the original silver ones, must be seen!
