AV Stater (Babylon, posthumous under Seleukos I Nikator, c. 311-305 BC, 8.56 g) - Head of Athena right, wearing pendant earring, necklace and crested Corinthian helmet adorned with coiled serpent / AΛEΞANΔPOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ Nike advancing left holding wreath and stylis (I in left field and monogram HYP within wreath in below left wing) (cf. Price 3749 (MI in left field) / cf. HGC 9, 3a) - edge mark and minor dents obv., some small dents rev. but attractive style, a bold VF / this specimen has an interesting reverse as the original M next to the I is omitted (same dies as CNG 417, lot 277)
