Silver/copper Bracelet money used in the market at Manaus in trade for Guaraná, a bitter tea from the guaraná plant cultivated near Manaus, by the Indians of the Amzon river district. Value 1 kilo tea. This very piece was brought back by Mrs. B.J. Brown in 1926. A rare example of traditional local trade money. Mounted on cardboard with the original documention. Not in Opitz, nor otherwise documented
