Lot with serie of 7 Burmese animal weights, depicting the mythical bird Hintha, which corresponds to the 'hamsa' of Hindu-mythology. Hamsa was the wild goose, the steed of Brahma who is the creator of universe, the protector of the world, the God of wisdom. Hamsa represented the ideals of purity and goodness - Bronze with hexagonal base and all of different size and weight, running from 7.75 to 330.78 g. (½ baht to 20 baht), an exceptionally nice set in XF condition (see MNI p.365)
