1631 - Medal 'Victories of Frederik Hendrik' by A.P. van der Willigen (vL.190.1 var, PR.943 var) - Obv. Bust between Mars and Victoria standing, below a view of 's-Hertogenbosch / Rev. Crowned oval coat of arms between Prudentia and Fortitudo standing, below cartouches with views of Grol, Wesel, Sulvervloot and Pernambuco - silver struck (on a cast flan) 68 mm 64,37 gram - very rare - slightly polished, irregular edge but VF/XF - NB The obverse is that of vL193-1 and PR.943, the reverse is nòt that of PR.943 (in the cartouches the text under the date), nòt PR.944 (with PRVDEN and FORTI, in the cartouches the text over the date) but a 'new' third variety with the text twice above and twice below the date !
