Zilveren Dukaat 1695 without mintmasters mark: on the reverse a large, somewhat irregular dot (not mentioned in CNM, HPM, Delm. or WES) - VF, partly weekly struck - interesting - NB The variation in the dies with which mint master Van Romondt made his first silver ducats in 1695 is greater than the catalogs indicate. Possibly the old sign tube was still used (only mentioned in the Zonnebloemgids ?), furthermore the new sign rosette (actually a five-pointed flower) appears on the obverse and/or the reverse, while sometimes a mint master's mark is completely missing.
