Kingdom of Sailendra, c. 7th-10th cent., base AV ingot tahil (so-called “half-moon”) - Ref.: (for silver issues) NvdCh. 122; Millies 9-12; Mitch (1998) 718-721 - 35.04 gram - period of the Sailendra Kingdom in Central Java. Obv. four-petalled sandalwood flower pattern in a deep square incuse, cup shape / rev.: Candalabre or a kalasa with three lotus flowers, arranged symmetrically. Usually these ingots are found in silver, but the present specimen consists approximately 50% silver and 38% gold. Full XRF results are: Sn 0.953%, Ag 50.419%, Au 37.809%, Cu 4.765%, Fe 5.945% - XF/UNC - RRRRR - Of utmost rarity and perfect state of preservation
