AE V kas (8.34 g.), ND (after 1646). Obv.: VOC-monogram surmounted by V / rev.: Arabic legend: benam sultan abd (allah) “In the name of Sultan Abd (Allah)”, refering to Sultan 'Abd Allah Qutb Shah (AD1626-1672) from whom the Dutch received the privilege of a Mint at Pulicat. The V kas was struck for Ceylon, were it circulated for a half stiver. By placard of 1674 they were forbidden there to circulate. RR, exceptional well centred VF. Ref.: Scho.1219; Passon 41.7
