A Dutch mahogany 'Moonroller' longcase clock with rich engraved dial, by Harman Huijsman, Amsterdam, second half 18th century. Little is known about the clockmaker Harman Huijslandt (Hermanus Huyslandt) apart from the fact that he worked and lived in a house named 'Het Wapen van Keulen' in the Kalverstraat, Amsterdam opposite the Jonge Roelensteeg until his death in 1791. This wonderful longcase clock was a gift to W.H.J. Oderwald and his wife M.S. Groenewoudt on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary (19 May 1925).
