Five Chinese porcelain plates decorated in underglaze blue with a scene of a fisherman punting his boat in a broad river landscape with a two story pavilion beside pine, wutong and rocks, a retreat on rocks, to the far left background a retreat on rocks, the rim with six flowers below a band of trellis work, each with a Nanking Cargo label to the reverse, referring to the cargo of the Dutch East India ship 'The Geldermalsen', which sank in the South Chinese Sea on 4 January 1752. The cargo was salvaged by Captain Michael Hatcher in 1985 and subsequently sold at auction in 1986.
