A rare Japanese porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue, centrally depicting a pair of egrets, the moulded rim with six panels of scrolling foliage, scalloped rim, the reverse with a continuous leaf scroll, a square 'Fuku' (good luck) mark to the base, Japan, Edo period (1603-1868), ca. 1680.
