A young woman in period dress seated in a wooded landscape, leaning against a stone funerary urn on a tall plinth. A German verse inscription on the monument face reads in part: Kömt einst in diese Gründe / Mein Mädchen, die Selinde / Dann, Amor, liebste du... / Ihr meinen Namen zu — a sentimental dedication in the Rococo pastoral tradition. 8 x 13.5 cm (15 x 20.5 cm incl. frame). Colours well preserved.
