Postwar, Very interesting Dutch Navy uniform grouping, belonged to "Arend Jacob de Graaff (1917-2005)", from his time as adjudant of "Queen Juliana of The Netherlands" from 1961 until 1964, Mr. De Graaff had a long and interesting military career beginning in 1939, he was present on the ship that brought part of the royal family to safety in Canada in 1940, he was present at the Battle of the Java sea, where he was taken as a POW by the Japanese, released in 1945, returning to the navy and eventually becoming the Commander of Dutch naval forces in the Caribbean, the set is not named but all decorations, led to him, the set consists of: full dress frock coat, with insignia, shoulderboards with "J" for the Queen, gillet and trousers, some traces of storage wear, but overall very presentable condition
