A Chinese bronze dagger-axe head, also known as a 'Ko', with a slotted shaft for fitting in to a andle, the blade decorated with a symetric design in relief, China, Late Shang or Yin Dynasty (1766 - 1966 B.C.) -21.5 cm, 191 grams- The Ko functioned as a double weapon. It was used as a dagger or inserted into a slot on a wooden handle to be used as a battle-axe. Ko’s of this type from the Shang dynasty are extremely rare
