A rare and decorative Merovingian golden pendant, set with a stone, found in 2017 in the vicinity of Odijk and the ‘Kromme Rijn’ (Netherlands), together with other finds from the late Roman era (c. AD 270-450) and the Merovingian time (c. AD 400-700). This rare square piece was maybe used as a grave gift, as was common in the Merovingian period, and belongs to a group of so-called North Sea-jewellery (fine decorated gold and the typical ribbed loop for suspension).
