Angola - France 5 Francs 1812-M (KM694.10) countermarked with a crowned shield, applied by decree of 1809 on Angolan copper coins. The mark doubled the host coin’s face value. Similar countermarks on silver coins, however, must therefore be regarded as spurious and not authentic
