Paurava, arsenical potin Karshapana (4.32 g.), Mahindramitra, 1st. cent. BC (MIG959+; Hoover857; Pieper1146; ZENO219344) - Obv: Lion seated facing right and a five-hooded cobra, surmounted by a parasol (umbrella). Traces of Brahmi legend above / Rev: Tree-in-railing, Kharoshthi letters to l., triangle-headed standard to left - Although the legend on this coin is truncated, from other extant specimens this coin appears to be of Mahindamitra. There is a good chance that these Kings belonged to the same tribal group as Porus. Both names, prakrit Porava and Greek version Porus can be derived from Puru the name of a mythical king who fought against Alexander the Great on the Jhelum river - good VF for issue, extremely rare
