Lot 3075

A mixed lot of ancient coins: - 1 tray of Roman Denarii such as Traianus, Hadrianus (3), Vespasianus (2), Septimius Severus (5), Ant. Pius (2), Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus, Commodus, Caracalla, Elagabalus, Gordianus III, Republic (3), Faustina I and II etc.etc. but also Nero (iuppiter cvstos), Vitellius, Marcus Antonius (some legionary Denarii) etc. - also 1 tray with appr. 17 small Celtic bronzes of the Aduatuci and appr. 15 small Roman bronzes (4th century) and 1 tray with Roman bronze coins (appr. 4 Sestertii, several Asses, Dupondii and a few Folles) including Faustina Minor, Marcus Aurelius, Augustus, Claudius, Gaius/Caligula, Domitianus etc. The lot consists of 3 trays with appr. 125 coins, all brought together by a metal detectorist, in the usual ‘find’ condition (some good, fine and some better but mainly in minor grades, also few pieces flan broken/damaged) and comes with a list of the ‘Geldmuseum’ (Dutch money museum, ‘Numismatisch informatiesysteem). This lot is suited as a starting collection, for hours of study.
