AR Denarius (Rome, 3.07 gr.) - Draped bust right / Juno stg. left holding patera and sceptre (RIC 7a / BMCRE 11 / RSC 2) - VF/XF, a rare coin / Manlia Scantilla was the wife of senator Didius Julianus, who was the highest bidder in an auction for the imperial throne held by the Praetorian gard. He thus became the new Roman emperor after the death of Pertinax.
