AR Denarius (Rome AD 204, 3.26 g) - SEVERVS PIVS AVG Laureate head right / COS III LVDOS SAECVL FEC Liber and Hercules standing (RIC 257 / RSC 109 / BMCRE 215, 315) - a bold VF. This rare coin commemorates the celebration in AD 204 of the Secular Games. Liber and Hercules were the deities of Severus' birthplace Leptis Magna in Libya.
