AE As (Rome AD 69-71, 10.29 g) - Laureate head of Vespasian right, aegis at shoulder / T ET DOMITIAN CAESARES PRIN IVVENT Titus and Domitianus on horseback to right (RIC II 391 (Tarraco) / BMCRE 750 (Tarraco) / BN 469 (Rome) - F+, some roughness, vary rare. This scarce type is a very early issue, the engravers had to use their imagination because at that time there still was no official image of Vespasianus in the mint in Rome. The reverse type depicts Vespasianus' intentions to found a new dynasty.
