Hybrid Duit/Doit. Obv. Crowned shield of the Netherlands, between 1 – CT. / Rev. VOC-monogram with star above (issue 1840-43, Utrecht) - XF/UNC with some mint lustre. Extremely Rare Note: The obv die is used in 1837 at Sourabaya, but prepared at Utrecht (See Scho. 727 & 728). This hybrid doit therefore was most likely struck when in 1840 the dies with the VOC-monogram were completed and tested with the obv. Die of the 1-CT of 1837, present at the Mint.
