Iran, Achaemenids, Satrapal coinage, Cilicia, Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames). Satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia, 384-361/0 BC. AR Stater ( 6.99 g. ). Struck circa 370 BC. Baaltars seated right, head and torso facing; thymiaterion to right; all within crenelated wall / Ana, standing right, facing Datames, standing left; thymiaterion between; all within dotted square border in linear border. General feature aVF, but show a dark patina, lighter in weight and brittleness on the flan and edge. The provenance of the coins with these features can be traced back to the Mir Zakah II hoard.
