Poppaea Sabina the Younger was Nero's second wife from 62 to 65. She was born in Pompeii in AD 30 as the daughter of Titus Ollius and Poppaea Sabina the Elder. She was the granddaughter of Poppaeus Sabinus (consul in 9). Poppaea is known as one of the greatest beauties of her time, but Tacitus also describes her as a woman who possessed all human qualities except goodness. She died pregnant after she was kicked in the stomach by Nero.
