Stunning album (32x 25 cm and spine damaged) with 30 albumine photographs of the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia). This album shows both town views and ethnic tribes of the region of West Sumatra. Even photos of the tribes such as the Nias, Mentawei and Pagei. The photos are made around 1870 and their size is appr 27x21 cm. They are stuck in on 30 seperate pages with captions in German. Most likely an expedition as the last photo shows indigenous people on board a ship with sailors. Fantastisch fotoalbum (32x25 cm en rug beschadigd) met 30 albuminefoto’s van Nederlands Indië (Indonesië). In dit album zitten zowel straatgezichten alsook ethnische afbeeldingen van West Sumatra. Zelfs foto’s van stammen van de Nias, Mentawei en Pagei eilanden. De foto’s zijn van rond 1870 in zijn en het formaat is circa 27x21 cm. Ze zijn ingeplakt op 30 separate pagina’s met Duitse tekst en beschrijving. Vermoedelijk betreft het hier een expeditie want op de laatste foto is een groep inboorlingen aan boord van een schip te zien temidden van matrozen.
