Babylon - AR Attic didrachm (6.75 g.) - Civic Baal/lion coinage, Satrap Mazaios 331-328 BC, Baal seated l., holding sceptre; behind Aramaic legend ‘Baal tarz’ / Lion walking l., Aramaic legend above ‘Mazdai’ in exergue Aramaic letter ’pēh’. General feature gVF, or even better, but show a black patina, lighter in weight and brittle on the edges. The provenance of the coins with these features can be traced back to the Mir Zakah II hoard.
