A George III silver tea urn, vase shaped with stiff leave chasing below large oval tassies depicting female classical figures, one a winged figure whose shield incorporates the arms of Paulet/Powlett/Poulett, impaling another, bifurcated, reeded loop handles terminating in leafage, bead borders and bands of vitruvian scrolls around cover and trumpet foot, the latter raised on square base applied to sides with rosettes and on leaf and scroll-embellished bracket feet, the artichoke finial lifting part-way out to release the steam via the pierced quatrefoils and lozenges on cylinfrical shaft, fluted spout with carved ivory tap, engraved ducally gorged flacon crest to cover and foot, maker's mark: Andrew Fogelberg & Stephan Gilbert, London, 1780.
