Unique metal detector find: gold Geuzen medal

A metal detector brings history to the surface, but it doesn't happen often that you write history with it. This did apply to the discovery of a gold Geuzen medal from 1566 in Hoorn.

Examination by our expert team showed that this was an original one. The unique piece yielded 40,000 euros at our auction.
