WWII, Very interesting photo grouping, attributed to "Colonel Carel Otto van Kesteren 1886-1945", former Colonel of the Dutch East-Indies army (KNIL), and Adjudant to "Queen Wilhelmina of Orange", consists of a total of 18 pictures from the beginning till the end of his military career, wedding pictures, pictures taken at the 1928 Olympic games in Amsterdam, with Queen Wilhelmina and Princes Juliana where he served as Adjudant to the Queen, also present a selection of documents including Medal certificat, issued by "His Royal Highness Soesoehoenan of Soerakarta", issued 1937, when the Colonel was commander of the 4th Infantry Regiment KNIL, and some documents of the Red Cross, informing his wife about his death in captivity in concentration camp Bergen-Belsen, Mr. Van Kesteren was arrested in 1942 by the Germans because he was part of the resistance, he was placed in various camps until his death, very interesting grouping, with lots of historical content
