Countermark of 4 raised dots within a 4 petal flower and a c/m in the shape of a “star like ornament” as also found on doits found in Jaffna (Scho.1257A; v.d. Wis G 23A) + Chinese chop-mark. The usual attribution to Sumanep must be regarded as incorrect as the provenance of this and other coins with similar c/m’s is Sintang district in West Kalimantan / West Borneo and should therefore be attributed to the Sintang Sultanate.
