A large Chinese porcelain charger decorated in underglaze blue with a central scene of floral roundel encircled by four heart shaped panels divided by ruyi and pomegranate scrolls, the cavetto with a scalloped border with floral scrolls, lotus and peony, reserved on a blue ground. Identical dishes are in the Royal Dresden Porcelain collection where it is mentioned that the heart-shaped flaming panel is closely related to the 'Kashmire' motif, popular in Indian and Persian art, and this dish may have been produced for those markets.
