1/2 Penning of Obool ND Arnhem (VdCh. - / cf. VdCh. I.5/6 = Penning) - 0.26 gram - Obv. Count behind coat of arms with lion and field of heraldic blocks : + OTTO [COMES] / Rev. Double headed eagle with spreaded wings : [+ ARNEMES] - VF - RRR - extremely rare - Only about four specimens are known of this type. It’s remarkable that this smaller and lighter denomination is exactly of the same type as the whole penning (VdCh. I.5/6). Most of the half penning denominations struck in the 13th. century has different symbols to point out the difference between the two denominations.
