A Chinese Kraak porcelain betel nut box also known as a 'boreh boreh' box with indented corners and decorated with floral design in underglaze blue, the sides are painted with a cartouche on each side with flowers separated with a geometric design. The inside is split in two compartments. The box was made for the European market at the kilns at Jingdezhen, China, Chongzhen period (1628-1644), ca. 1640.
